What is NWIA Nea Wedding Internationaal Association?
We represent professionals from the wedding industry who want to work further on the professionalisation of their career in the wedding industry.
Together we aim for quality, development, professionalism and connection in order to organise the most beautiful weddings for bridal couples and to connect them with each other.
We stand for building and sharing knowledge. A continuous process of quality improvement in the wedding industry.
Goal
NWIA was founded with the aim of developing, applying, maintaining and guaranteeing quality for professional wedding planners, and party planners from the wedding and event industry who work in the Netherlands and abroad.
Through regular exchange of experiences, developments and continuous improvement of work processes, certification, cooperation, and improvement of individual performance, NWIA allows the qualities of professionals in this field to grow.
The affiliated members of NWIA are familiar with laws and regulations, trends and professionals in this sector.
Naturally, they have the expertise, and are internally trained by professionals from the wedding and event industry.
The specialised companies affiliated with the association work according to a number of quality conditions.
Why become a member?

Members of the association distinguish themselves because they have demonstrable expertise and certificates in the field of professional implementation of wedding plans, party plans and entrepreneurship.
At the start of your membership you will receive a quality manual and a code of conduct from us.
This handbook helps you to expertly carry out activities such as wedding planning, and party planning.
Becoming a member has the following benefits:
- To promote membership of the association of wedding planners, and party planners with an intermediate or higher vocational education level, who work within the profession.
- Receiving written and oral information about the profession (field).
- Various activities for members (meetings, masterclasses, network meetings and events).
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with professional companies from the wedding industry.
- Participate (take part) in the committee that aims to draw up guidelines, regulations and legal provisions applying to this association, its field of activity and/or its activities.
- Maintaining media contacts; Stimulating, organising and providing activities aimed at improving the technical, business, and economic aspects of business operations in the wedding industry (hbo level).
Contribution
The fiscal year runs from 1/1 to 31/12. Keep this in mind when applying for membership.
If you change your membership during a calendar year, the higher contribution will be calculated pro rata.
You will then receive a supplementary contribution invoice for this.
If you follow training at another school/institute or academy, you are also welcome to join us.
If you want to unsubscribe from membership, you must do so at the beginning of November by completing a form.
